Inundated Jamuna

Waves of water flutters
The Jamuna is inundated
The waves stuck towards
Rahim Miah's house courtyard.
The house is in the river bank
Passes his life by catching fish
Seeing the tide and web
He keeps all of his family in the house
However, there is heavy fear is his mind
When the house would be broken by the wave
Yet, he was bound to the chest
Hoping for life.

সকাল আটটার আগে

কেউ যদি

ঢাকার ফুটপাতে তাকিয়ে দেখে

দেখতে পাবে কিভাবে

কর্মজীবি মহিলারা

ছুটছে কাজে যাবার তরে

বাসায় সবাইকে রেখে।

আমাদের দেশের আয়ের এক বড় অংশ আসে

এদের শ্রম থেকে

বিনিময়ে কি এরা পায় পারিশ্রমিক

ন্যায্য পাওনা দেখে?

সকাল থেকে রাত পর্যন্ত

খেটে যায় এরা

ফেলে মাথার ঘাম পায়ে

এদের শ্রমকে পুজি করে

অনেকেই থাকে সুখে

লাগিয়ে ঠান্ডা হাওয়া গায়ে।

নুন্যতম পারিশ্রমিক বলে যেটা পায়

সেটা দিয়েই

কোনমতে সংসার চালিয়ে যায়

স্বপ্ন দেখে সুন্দর ভবিষ্যতের

যে যার স্থানে দাড়িয়ে তায়।

Entire entity is empty.
In the bend of river life
The memories are hidden
Never let to catch, never let to see
There is no limit to its limit.
So on the pages of life
Let's all write down
All the makers of all events
Become a witness.

বিশ্বকাপ ফুটবল -১

প্রতি রাতে চোখ পড়ছে টিভির পর্দায়

সবাই মিলে যোগ দিয়েছে বিশ্বকাপের খেলায়।

চলছে খেলা রাশিয়াতে দেখছে বিশ্ববাসী

কারও চোখে দুঃখের ছাপ কারও চোখে হাসি।

রেফারীও এই খেলাতে যাচ্ছে মেনে হার

যদিওবা যোগ হয়েছে নতুন ভি.এ.আর.

জিতবে কে আর হারবে কে যাচ্ছে নাকো বলা

অনিশ্চয়তায় ভরে থাকা চলছে এবার খেলা।

ভবের হাটের বেচাকেনা

সঙ্গে তোমার কেউ যাবেনা।

সেদিন যেমন এসেছিলে

তেমনি করে যাবে চলে।

যতই করো ভবের মায়া

সন্তান, সম্পত্তি, জায়া।

তাইতো কেঁদে নেই কোন ফল

সাথে যাবে শুধু কর্মফল।

ভবের মায়ায় থাকলে পড়ে

কোন লাভই নেই শরীরে।

In the transparent water of the Dhansiri river
Sandpipers play in teams
The river remains calm for twelve months
So many people live by the side of the river
Nevertheless, keep thinking of the uprights
When everything will fall into the river
By keeping hope, all day went by
Nobody knows when someone will sail with their boats
It will initiate the renewed consciousness of living
Forgetting all the pain that have happened before.
