Tacit, silent, calm
Midnight time
There is no response anywhere
Only sky is filled with stars.
Somewhere in the field
The foxes have called out
Suddenly the wind blows
The light of fireflies glow.
Birds fall asleep at all
With haphazard wings
Dreams come and go
In the courtyard of the heart.

শুভংকরের ফাঁকি

কোথায় তুলে রাখি

কোনটা আসল কোনটা নকল

চিনতে শুধু বাকি

সবই শুভংকরের ফাঁকি।

আসল নকলের মেলায়

কিছুই চেনা হয় বড় দায়

আসল নকল মিলে মিশে

ধাঁধাঁয় ফেলে আখি

সবই শুভংকরের ফাঁকি।

কান্নাকাটি যতই করি

মনে যতই বাসনা ধরি

কোন কিছুই দেয়না কাজে

যতই রাখি ঢাকি

সবই শুভংকরের ফাঁকি।

Let's get out again
Build the country in a new way.
To free the country
Have just been empty how many mother's heart
Do you know that sad mother
Got her happiness.
How many martyrs liberally
Have laid their lives
Today how do we forget
Their contribution.
How many martyrs, we do not know their names
They are spreading in villages
Have we searched for them?
Done something in their name?
It is wet by the Martyr's blood
The soil of the country
Without giving them real respect
How do we walk?
Mere remembering them
Is not the end
They have dreamed
For a golden Bangladesh.
Take a new oath
Today is the day
Those sacrifices of martyr
Should not be weak.

সাতার কাটা হলো সারাটি জীবন

তবু পড়ে থাকা জীবনের বালুচরে

জানার তো ছিল অনেক কিছুই

কিন্তু জানা হলোনা এই ছোট পরিসরে।

জীবন চলে তার নিজের ধারায়

হিসাব করেনা কে কোথায় হারায়।

এভাবেই চলে জোয়ার ভাটার খেলা

সারাটি জীবন ধরে

পাবার যা ছিলো তা যেনো হারালো

সবই ক্ষনিকের তরে।

Day by day how much is the debt?
Remains unknown
Day by day how much water flowed in the river Jamuna?
Remains unknown.
On the pages of debit-credit
Then
Everything was wrong?
While doing the accounting
Got to see
Nothing is extraordinary.
Then this is how
Everything ends
There will be no more in hand
No relish will be there.
So sit at the end of day
On the sand bed
Life, such a treasure of accomplishment
Yet becomes instantaneous.

পাপ থেকে দুরে থাকো

পাপী থেকে নয়

পাপীকে বলো শুদ্ধ হতে

কারন

এর পরিনতি ভালো নয়।

ইতিহাস বলে

যুগে যুগে পাপীরা সব

বিলীন হয়েছে কালের বিবর্তনে

শিক্ষা নিতে হবে এখান থেকে

যাতে সামনের দিনগুলো

নাহয় তেমন জেনেশুনে।

Unknown birds fly
Stretching feathers in the air
Depart from the country to country
In winter, summer and rain
They go from one country to another country
When time comes back again
They come back at home in that distant.
They know when and where to stop
They rightly know the path
They know when and where to return
When time come they come back to their own tree.
This is how the unknown birds
Fly around the earth in their own way
Through which sign they fly
As if the world in under their wings.

তিনশ পয়ষট্টি দিনে
হয় এক বছর
প্রতিটি মানুষের জীবনে
এ এক অচেনা সফর।
কেউ জানেনা তার গন্তব্যে
কি কি লিখা আছে
সবাই বাধা পড়ে আছে
যার যার নিয়তির কাছে।
এভাবেই কেটে যায়
আশায় ভরা জীবন
এভাবেই বয়ে যায়
ভরষায় ভরা ভূবন।

Filled with golden rice
Harvested rice is coming home
The heart will be filled with joy.
Happiness filled the house of the farmer
Laughing has filled his chest

তুমি ছোট্ট শিশুর প্রথম কথা বলা।

তুমি মেঘহীন আকাশের তারার বহর।

We've got it.
How many mothers in tears
The soil becomes wet
This is my country
This is purer than gold.
The people who gave life for this country
Who gave the breath
In remembrance of them let us

সময় অন্তহীন

পথের পরে পথ

এপথ প্রান্তহীন।

ভূলের পরে ভূল

তার ভিতরে বাস

মাসের পরে মাস

সেযে করে পরিহাস।

ব্যথার পরে ব্যথা

নেই সেখানে সুখ

আঘাতের পরে আঘাত

শুধুই ভরা দুখ।

খেলার পরে খেলা

চলছে সারা বেলা

কথার পরে কথা

যায়না সেটা বলা।

রাতের পরে পাত

নেইতো চোখে ঘুম

এমনি করেই যায়

জীবন চাকার ধুম।

it was unimaginable
Whom I kept in the heart
Today they have
throw knife in my chest.
If you say then afterwards
There is nothing in the world
Mixing good and evil
All things become a coincidence.
But who is to blame?
Fate!
Then in this way things will happen
in the rest of life.

আবার জমবে মেলা
বটতলা, হাটখোলা
জীবনের জয়গানে জাগোরে
আবার ভাসবে ভেলা
ভরা গাঙে, মাঝখানে
জেগে ওঠো সাথীরা সাগরে।
আর নয় ঘরে থাকা
আর নয় পরাজয়
বুকে আশা বেধে নিয়ে
ভুলে থাকা আর নয়।
দেখা যায় নতুন আলো
চলো সবাই সামনে চলো।
নতুন দিনের চেতনায়
আয়রে সবাই চলে আয়।

Water is coming down to the ebb
In this game of ebb and tide
Life passes by the side of the sea
Sometimes fierce, sometimes frigid
The flow of river is very strange
In this way passes the wheel of life
Everything has been arranged in stages.

বয়ে চলে যমুনা
হঠাৎ একদিন এক ভূমিকম্পে
ব্রহ্মপুত্র থেকে উৎপত্তি হয়ে
বাংলাদেশে করে নিলো তার ঠিকানা।
তিস্তা, ধরলা, করতোয়া, আত্রাই, সুবর্নশ্রী
এরা যমুনার প্রধান উপনদী
জন্ম থেকে আজ অবধি
নিজের গতিপথে চলছে নিরবধি।
বাহাদুরাবাদ থেকে গতিপথ সরে
মিলেছে পদ্মার সাথে আরিচায়
বগুড়া, সিরাজগন্জ, গাইবান্ধা
জামালপুর, টাঙাইল, পাবনা জেলাগূলো
পড়েছে তার প্রবাহিত সীমানায়।
যুগ যুগ বহো যমুনা তুমি
হয়ে আমাদের কালের স্বাক্ষী
বাস করি মোরা অববাহিকায় তোমার
নই কারো মুখাপেক্ষী।

Universe

Every planet, secondary planet, stars in the universe
Whichever ones turn in their own orbits
It never happens without it
No one can go before or nobody after.
Everybody complied with a compulsive rule
Have their own way
That's the way each-other revolves by measuring their directions
Moves by a pointer.
The earth revolves around the sun
Year comes
The moon surrounds the earth
Month comes
The earth revolves around her own orbit
Brings a new day
This way time is tied up to its own time
Yet, time is unlimited.

এই চিন্তায় বেশী

উতলা করে মন

বড় কষ্ট হয় চিনতে

এই পৃথিবীতে

কে পর আর কে আপন।

যাকে করেছিলাম আপনের আপন

সেই কবে হয়ে গেল পর

পৃথিবীটা কি এতই ধোঁয়াশা

এতই স্বার্থপর।

স্বার্থের টানে সব যেন খোজে

ভুলে সব কিছু তার

কষ্টের প্রানে আরও আঘাত আনে

যেনো নেই কিছু অবশেষ আর।
